This post is going to be about, as you might have guessed , food and fisherman in Thailand. We've gone to many restaurants that have had delicious food and many ok
restaurants. In thailand, you eat with a fork and spoon. As you know, I have tried squid in 6 different ways. I have had it fried, deep fried, whole on the BBQ, plain, in soup and stir fried with veggies. Squid is my favourite. I've had quite a bit of weird food. The main weird foods are yogurt with corn, beans and lotus nuts, (it was disgusting) a gushy kiwi like fruit that you had to peel like an orange to find a grape but more tough and it also had an odd blueberry like nut in the middle, and gummys backed with a sort of vanilla taste I got in the warorot market in Chiang Mai. We also got plain chicken smacked down on a stick with a bag of sticky rice on the train.
Now we are moving on to favourite foods. I love the chicken heart on a stick we got right here in Koh Lanta and I loved Mr. Wee's pizza shop. I also like the pistachio nuts and there are special types of tropical juice in Thailand that make up special shakes and smoothies.
When I was swimming, I saw at least 5000 sardines swimming around me in a school. I was able to borrow a mask and snorkel from a friend so I swam for an hour and a half following the fish. My mom says I would have swum out to sea with them. Each night at sunset we have been swimming in the sea while the sun sets. There has been fisherman that have been catching a lot of fish by shore. They have a large net and one guy swims out and brings out the nets length and the other guy stands on shore and holds the net. Then they pull the net sideways till they meet each other and pull all the fish to shore. And that's how I saved a very large hermit crab, a puffer fish, and a baby crab. I saved them with a frisbee and a stick. That's all for now.
Oh, and by the way, I am sorry for not posting sooner.
